Hi Everyone

I have two weeds that are taking over my lawn. How do I kill and prevent them?

They both look like chickweed to me. Weed-B-Gon CCO or any product w/ triclopyr as the active ingredient should knock it out.

I don't know about the weeds, but if you look at the tips of your grass it looks like your blade might need sharpened. There's some ripping and tearing happening instead of clean cuts.

I noticed the same. I forgot to sharpen the blade before my last mow.

Yes, I think they are both chickweed also. Either at different stages or a different variety. It's a pain in the rear.

But yes, CCO is the answer.

I noticed the same. I forgot to sharpen the blade before my last mow.

Happens to the best of us. I just bought a 2nd blade so this season I will always have one sharp and ready. For a few years of mowing though I didn't know better. Even last season when I knew better I still fudged it up a couple times.

I apply Bayer weed killer seems like its working. See them turning yellow

I had very good results with Bayer with crabgrass
