Help!! I planted some shade fesuce under a giant tree that gets a couple hours of sun light, and now its dying. I believe i either over watered and or it got a disease? Ive attached a few photos. It was thriving back in april/may when i planted it and now its turning brown at the tips and dying. Its also just falling over and not standing up straight. What should i do at this point?

New baby grass. Austin Texas. Mid-June.

Cool season grass slows its production of carbs and proteins as the weather gets warmer. Without reserves stored away in the Fall and early Spring, it dies.

My guess is, that's what happened. Replant in September and it should be ok next Spring.

Thanks for the advise. Some of it still seems to be growing so ill wait till the fall like you mentioned and try and replant the bare patches.
