Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I'm looking to mow at about a 2" HOC when the summer sun gets most intense here in central mn. What's your experience with a machine like this? How high can I go? I'd love to go reel low, but wherever I tried under 2.5" with the rotary, the sun would wreak havoc on the grass.

Beating the grass with a rotary /= clipping it with a reel. If @wardconnor can mow his KBG at 0.700 with a Toro Greensmaster 1000, no reason you can't go low too ;)

Agreed. You will be surprised how low you can go, even without leveling. 3/4" should be possible. Do you have irrigation?

Btw, when did central Minnesota get intense summer sun?.. :lol:

Haha. Ok ok, good point. Intense was a poor choice in words.

Yes, I have irrigation from a river that I live on.
