Man this year has been really discouraging. With about 3 acres of turf, any renovations of mine are a piece mail project but if it could go wrong it has. The farm hydrant that I've spent all summer trying to get working for irrigation still won't work. Plumbers don't want to touch it because of modern codes. The track loader that I have on order to help renovate what I'll call my side yard still hasn't arrived at the dealer.
I ordered a rototiller for one of my tractors, its sitting at the dealer. UPS lost the shaft, the only PTO shaft for it is in Germany. That could be a month out.
I have sand and topsoil to get delivered for the side yard but don't want it dropped off until I have a way of spreading and grading them. My septic is over there so I don't want a utility tractor running over there.
So I guess I'm left with $4500.00 in grass seed to wait until next year. The weather is just about to break here, I was really looking forward to getting this place whipped in to shape. Well a part of it at least.
