Hi, I went through a ton of posts about MSM in this forum and highly reputed members suggested that a dosage of 0.3grams per 1000sqft is safe and works well on spurge. Can I spray near trees and flower beds at the same rate and not kill either of them?

I have a crazy spurge problem that I tried using Celsius, which didn't work, and it got exacerbated because I had to travel for 1-2 weeks.

At this point, my lawn has quite a bit of spurge popping out which I'm confident on spraying MSM on, but near the end of my woods backed lot, there's an enormous amount of spurge growing (which is the culprit to my problem I believe). The recent wind/rain has pushed the spurge seeds into my flowerbeds too which are now getting encroached by this pesky weed.

Please advise

Thanks for your responses guys. Here's an update - I've spot treated the areas with another high rated dose of Celsius - not exactly sure why it's not working. (didn't use surfactant because of the 85+ temps, but made sure I got it on the plant real good)
Maybe I'm wrong and it is working but the fact that I have crazy levels of spurge near the back woods probably means there's just a ton of seeds being blown into my lawn.

I want to take care of the 7-8 feet of spurge near the wood line. I tried giving the second dose of celsius a chance before @'ing any of the pros here and I absolutely neither want to nor deal with killing any of those enormous 40 foot trees.

@Greendoc based on multiple spurge/MSM related posts, it looks like this area is one of your expertise. Sorry for the annoyance but could you please help?

Here's what I have on hand; Celsius, Prodiamine, Certainty, Poison Ivy killer (Roundup Concentrate Poison Ivy Killer Plus). I used the Ivy stuff near trees successfully without harming the tree (ivy crawled about 30 feet of the 40 foot tall tree). I am waiting on purchase MSM based on advice given here.

You can safely use MSM near those trees. Provided. Your soil pH is under 7. You are able to evenly apply no more than 0.5 oz per acre of the MSM 60 product. You are able to combine it with something like Speedzone or else Three Way or Quicksilver herbicide. You add 0.25% nonionic surfactant to the spray mix. All of these conditions make it more likely you can kill the spurge with the first application without having to apply again .
