I know the detailed directions say to not apply 2 days before or after mowing....I am in need of a mow, and am off of work tomorrow,. had planed on mowing today, and applying quinclorac on my day off tomorrow.
Has anyone mowed right before applying on tall fescue? results?
Otherwize, I better listen to the directions and just prolong my spreading of crabgrass a bit longer.

I would definitely follow the directions. I haven't specifically run into a problem with quinclorac but other herbicides I have. I've treated weeds, waited only a day and mowed and it really shocked my lawn and turned large areas brown. This resulted in a ton of wasted water to try and flush the stuff out and prevent irreversible damage to my grass. I've also mowed right before applications and had it turn all of my grass tips brown, like 1/4 inch or so. Just mow and wait. If you haven't applied a preemergent for crab grass already, it's probably already way too late for a ton of results. A few more days at this point before applying honestly can't make the crabgrass all that much worse.
