My front yard has 2 huge maple trees and the last couple of years am having more and more moss. What should I do tp het rid of it?
My yard is heavily shaded and starting to be very thin. I live in Kentucky. I plan to rent a power seeder this Spring. Looking for suggestions on what seed I should use.

@Jim Cahoe Welcome to TLF. I think for your weather, you should look into the the cool season folder.

Moss is normally the visual indicator of a drain/moisture problem. Iron sulfate and even Dawn dish soap will kill it, but it will come back until you address the moisture problem. How is the grading around the trees? Could something be done to drain the water away from this area?
