Milwaukee 49-16-2794 Power Rotary Scissors Review: Heavy, but Quiet?

Just bought them, and used them for the first time today.

I do not own the standard Idech Power Rotary Scissors that many of you have. I was just about to order the Idech scissors and mount them to an Ego trimmer when I saw these pop up at Home Depot.

Pro: They aren't terribly loud, and that is the main complaint I have heard about the Idech.

Cons: They are very heavy and a bit awkward to use, and the blades don't seem to be as sharp as they should be for trimming grass.

It took me approximately 4 times longer to trim the lawn with these vs standard Ego string trimmer, and they could not get to some of the more awkward places the Ego could squeeze into.

I had to go over a few areas more than once to get an acceptable trim. I did not use it as an edger as I use a stick edger.

I think this is more of a brush cutter as opposed to "lawn scissors" and I was disappointed with it for my purpose, though it may work fine as a brush cutter.
