Max HOC Question

I have a Jacobsen PGM 22 and I want to increase the HOC to the max, approx .438 inches. Do I need to worry about precise measurements?

I was hoping that I would not require a height adjustment bar or similar tool, since I am raising the HOC to the max.

My Accu-Gage doesn't fit the Swardman, so I checked it like this:
