Ive been reading various recommendations and YT vids and they indicate either using straight sand for leveling or a sand+topsoil or compost mix (50/50 or 70/30).
As i have fairly heavy clay soil with not great drainage I had read using straight sand might not be a good idea and that some organic matter should be in the mix.
Wondering if I could mix in Peat moss into the sand instead of topsoil/compost ?it's just that I've had bad experiences with weeds everytime I've used topsoil or compost. Any other suggestions?
