Some of the Centipede grass blades also do a hook backwards along the stolon. Carpet grass just sticks straight out. The name Centipede refers to how the blades hook like legs on a Centipede. I have the real crawling thing here to keep me familiar. :tease:

Hello all. New to the forum. I was hoping someone may be able to help me identify the grass in my lawn. I believe it is Centipede, but am hesitant that it could be St. Augustine or even Zoysia. I'm in Raleigh NC. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
