Landscaping Back Alley

What should I do about this area? I don't have any irrigation covering this location so I have not tried to put down any grass which has resulted in random weeds. Another issue is the cable junction box is nearby so the fiber line is not buried too deep which cuts down on any digging I could do in the area.

What can I do to make this look better?

Vince minor groundcover would do in most of the IS.

I spent a long time removing that from my backyard (lol) so I think my ego will not allow me to install that there. Thank you for the recommendation though. Got any other ideas?
Kill everything and plan for a nice full flower bed. Is it sunny there or mostly shadowy?

It's a mix between the two depending on the time of day. That's a good idea...I need to research some plants that would fit that area well.

Where are you? Lots of suggestions are regional! I picked vinca because it grows everywhere. Lol.
I would choose something colorful, but eazy maintenance. Could be some colorful ground cover that produce flowers or Heuchera maybe. What is cool about those alleys is that chances are it's gonna trigger other neighbors some ideas and some may want to imitate you and make it look nicer too. You could end up with a very beautiful alley! One thing for sure, even just your section will make it more beautiful! 👍

I am in North Texas.
Mulch it and put some Sweet Autumn Clematis growing up the fence.
