Anyone have any experience with Dewalt 40v trimmers? The trimmer itself is killer. I invested in several of their 40v stuff, but I'd really like a landscape blade. I think I saw somewhere on the forum someone with a cordless trimmer and landscape blade, but it wasn't Dewalt. Problem is the motor is actually in the head (I think) and not where traditional gas engines are. Might have to break it down to see if it's possible. Wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with this.

Following... I have a Ryobi 40v and I'd be interested to put a landscape blade on that as well. I know the motor is on the battery end and not the head end, so that might help me out.

I have been doing some similar research with Ego, and I think the issue you would encounter is that it looks like the electric motor is on the trimmer head of the DeWalt units - so there is no drive shaft in the tube to adapt/mate to the Landscape Blade.

The same is true for many of the Ego tools, with the exception of their Multi-Head System and a couple of their newer rear motor string trimmers and edgers.
