Hello all I have some nutsedge that I'm not having much luck killing. What's everyone finding that works? I been using sedge hammer but I don't think it's doing any good.

Are you 100% it's nutsedge? Are you applying it per direction?

I just used some Ortho nutsedge killer and with 3-4 days it was all yellow.

Pretty positive. It's about 8 inches tall and my yard is 4 inches I can get pics later.I haven't felt it yet to see if it have the v stem on it.

That will work alright. Expect scorching at temperatures over 80. That is one I will do when there is Purple Nutsedge and Kyllinga all over the place. At which point a temporarily brown lawn is acceptable vs one with weeds sticking out of it.

I did not get a scorching on my first dallis grass attack. That time I had gone crazy with a "witches brew" lots of ingredients.
The second time I only had sulfentrazone and sedgehammer. But it had gotten much hotter. And you can see where I sprayed. It may be that I RoundUp it all unintentionally. The rates were label rates. Not too much sulfentrazone. We may get rain this week so I will see whether I killed it or just scorched it.

The sedgehammer and sulfentrazone mix really cooked the sedges. They are toast.

Dallis grass is harder to kill than the surrounding grass.
