Killing Bahiagrass

I've come to discover that the majority of what's in my yard is bahiagrass and not some weed. Will Celsius kill it or is msm the only thing that works?

I had it in my yard 4-5 years ago. I used MSM, it worked well. It never came back. Celsius is not labeled for it. Celsius does list to not use it on a Bahiagrass lawn. So it may ding it, but it's not labeled to control it.
MSM works!
Thanks. MSM is pretty cheap as well being $24 for 2oz which goes a long ways. I was hesitant to use it, but I think I was confusing MSM with MSMA

Quinclorac may be a better option than MSM around trees. I've not used either, so research it before deciding.
Quinclorac just labels Bahia as susceptible which is probably the same as using Celsius (not to be used if turf is Bahia) which I would just go that route if choosing between the 2. The potency of MSM just worries me a bit

Celsius got rid of some bahia I had in my front yard a couple of seasons ago. It knocked it back hard enough that the good turf was able to take over.
I think I'd rather do a blanket of certainty/Celsius and let the Bermuda take over. The Bahia is already stressed with low mowing, so I'd assume Celsius would have an even greater effect

you could always get MSM and just spot spray the Bahia if you are concerned. Or see how the blanket of certainty/celsius goes, if it doesn't kill it then hit it with MSM. The people that kill their trees with MSM usually aren't careful and are unaware it does this. As long as you ensure you weigh the MSM correctly prior to application and you follow the directions you'll be fine.

Okay thanks. It's all over my yard so spot spray isn't an option. I'll see how the Celsius/certainty goes and then re-evaluate if MSM is needed. Im hoping that since the Bahia is already yellowing from the short mow height that the Celsius knocks it out.
