So I know there are a thousand threads about removing bermuda in fescue but I just have a question about timing. This is my second season using Ornamec OTT spot spraying berumuda in my TTTF lawn. I've seen some suppression but I know this might be a 5 year battle. I sprayed in early April after initial green up and had planned on spraying again late summer and aerate/over seed a month after. But, reading through some other threads I hear people spraying this all summer. Can I do this? I know others are but that doesn't make it right for my lawn. I'm in Kentucky, temps have been brutal but planning to drop some this weekend. I plan on adding Triclopyr to the mix this year and if I can I want to get an early start and maybe get two apps in before fall. I just don't want to smoke my fescue (too badly). Thanks for any help guys!

The herbicide this time of year will hurt the fescue badly, maybe more than the bermuda. As you say there are lots of threads and hot weather is always one of the major sticking points.

I plan to start spraying around late July with tenacity / triclopyr and then tenacity only up to Sept overseed. Maybe some Acclaim too. Whatever fescue gets smoked will be replaced by the overseed.
