I dont know much about these machines other than they where expensive 20 years ago and appear to have a strong following.
It came in a package deal and as described to me it had a oil leak.
I only found the gas leaking from someones poor attempt at installing a in line fuel filter.
Removed that mess and the old gas. Cleaned the carb and it fired right up.
Odd noise from below the deck. Blade looked ok with no large dings or bends.

removed the blade stop clutch and found a bad bearing and the friction material no longer attached to the clutch.

im not sure if its worth the $150 or so for the clutch.

is the cut quality good with these?
sell it as is?

Cut quality is phenomenal. They have a good strong vacuum effect. If it runs well, and there's life in the tires/transmission, I'd spring for the clutch in a heartbeat.

It could use a set of tires, the fronts have a little life left vs the rears so I could rotate them for now.

Transmission ? It seems to be working fine. I was looking to see how to check the fluid ? I assume its under the pulley?
I was contemplating removing and disassembling the transmission over the winter to check it out.
