Came across this mower on craigslist. Says it runs, but needs a clutch rebuild.Guy wants $100.00.Would parts be available and if so,would it be worth my while to fix it?One other thing.I was checking the manual and says it only cuts as high as 7/16"?Am I correct? If that's the case I would have to look elsewhere at maybe a Toro or JD?

@Beerbrewer Welcome to TLF. R&R sells some parts for PGM22s but not for the clutch. From the looks of it, it appears to be the same clutch as a Greensking 522/526 which you can buy from R&R. The engine is a Honda GX120 which you can get parts for on Amazon or Ebay for cheap.

PGMs are all aluminum frame units, lighter for less impact to sensitive/stressed turf.

Parts should still be available from both Jacobsen (they still build PGM22's) and R&R. Engine parts easily available wherever Honda parts are sold. I use http://www.shopjacobsen.com to look up parts for my GK526a and buy from either Jake or R&R accordingly. R&R's lookup (http://www.rrproducts.com) works but can be difficult to find the specific parts for your model. You can always use the Jake lookup and punch the specific part number into R & R site to see if they carry it.

Most Jake walk-mowers spec 7/16" as their max HoC but it's simple to swap the front roller and/or brackets to get heights up to about 1.25".

With those all aluminum frames on the PGM, just give them a quick look-see for corrosion issues. Fertilizer and some sprays don't always play well with aluminum if the machine was not thoroughly washed down after each use.

I think Jakes handle and cut really well. I like mine, but I learned on Jake equipment. So perhaps I'm biased.
