I can't spot any grooves on the tops of the leaves. Either the noise suppression has smoothed them out or there are none. If the latter, it is probably not ryegrass.

 

My concern is there is no red near the root. I thought rye is red near the root.

In the photo below, I believe the weed on the right is rye but the one on the left has me stumped. Fescue?
