Two things that I know of:kolbasz said:At that point, I wonder the purpose of 50/50.
I'm not seeing anything overtaking anything else in your photos. I'm just seeing bare spots where grass died out. That doesn't mean it was overtaken...on the contrary...there's nothing there! PR does not kill existing KBG...not at all. They're compatible in a mix, but the PR is typically more competitive overall. Not always, though.kolbasz said:Thanks, I guess that makes for interesting times when I plant new 50/50 into what may be mostly prg at this point.
Given the recent discussions with @ware and his links to some studies, as it has been a few years, I am not totally surprised to see the progress over take the kbg.
At that point, I wonder the purpose of 50/50.
Valid point. I was thinking more on the idea that maybe prg is an angle. If the patches not dead it seems to be all prg, so this is why I was inferring the kbg was gone. I guess maybe just don't know what I am expecting to see.Green said:I'm not seeing anything overtaking anything else in your photos. I'm just seeing bare spots where grass died out. You're not going to have issues with a 50/50 mix germinating in bare spots.
