So I had what I was 99% certain was kbg seed heads and I was satisfied because it meant things were growing and healthy.

However, now I see tons of this and it more resembles POA a. I am used to POA a coming up so much sooner, like early May. Heck, I have some that I know is POA a and it was there weeks ago, so what's the deal?

Have you seen this thread?

It helped me determine what I was looking at. The poa A has a white membraneous thing at the ligule.

That's what is funny, side by side like that I say aged kbg (my own made up term), the seed heads are falling down And getting saggy, mimicing POA a, but the way more seed heads per pice tell me not POA a, for pretty sure.

It is trying to trick me.

What about the ligule? Does it have the white membrane? That was a dead giveaway for me.

Yours looks like poa pratensis (KBG). Although the ligule is out of focus.
