That's probably real similar to the active ingreedient in the first product you applied.
The Product they were recommending to you is the Weed Be Gon CCO product. (Chickweed, Clover, Oxalis)

It's labeled to kill Wild Violet, many of these cloverish weeds require a second treatment of the CCO product 10 days or so following the first for full control. Good luck it did a number on my clover patch last year, now I just need to make grass grow back in the barespots where the clover was! :)

I put out the CCO yesterday. Should have specified. I'll see how it does.
