If not, can anyone identify and recommend a turf safe herbicide. Spectricide weed stop (spot treating) isn't working

Also thinking it could be wild violet but the area it's in isn't shaded at all.

Time for some level 2 weed herbicide... try Ortho CCO.

For wild violet Use weed b gon CCO or similar (triclopyr).

I just put down some ortho weed be gon. I'll see how that does. Thanks for the help

That's probably real similar to the active ingreedient in the first product you applied.
The Product they were recommending to you is the Weed Be Gon CCO product. (Chickweed, Clover, Oxalis)

It's labeled to kill Wild Violet, many of these cloverish weeds require a second treatment of the CCO product 10 days or so following the first for full control. Good luck it did a number on my clover patch last year, now I just need to make grass grow back in the barespots where the clover was!

I put out the CCO yesterday. Should have specified. I'll see how it does.
