Back yard has been looking great besides the dog spots. I noticed over the weekend some area of concerns. I don’t believe it’s stress because of temps and rain fall we have had over the past 2 weeks. The back yard doesn’t get a lot of Sun. Maybe 3-4 hours at most I believe. Or could this possibly be grub damage. Im a rookie at all this. Any ideas thanks!

Lack of sun could be a problem.
Spring before the trees leaf out the grasses will do better. As they leaf out the grass suffers.
Best way to check for grubs is dig up a patch.
Are you seeing any yellowing, grass discoloration prior to it tuning brown.

Im new myself and rain other than long extended wet periods have not been a issue. Is the ground still wet, does it stay wet.
Did you apply any products?

What about fertilizer?
Do those areas stay wet in the root zone.
Im having fungus issues now I should expect to see in late jun-july-aug
Im spot treating with eagle 20 most of the fungus listed is on a 14 day cycle.
Im using eagle 20ew as its readily available.
It says 1-2.5oz /1000 ft2
1oz for preventive 2.5oz for active
It came with a list of fungus it treats and a schedule
I mixed 2oz in 2 gallons and been spot spraying
Im saving product for when the real heat and humidity start to come or when/if activity increases again. Then I will start the 1oz preventive spray every 2 weeks to see how that goes.
Im new myself and this season is dedicated to weeds. I have a good grasp on that so far and only have one real problematic weed.
Its a grass weed barn grass, dalligrass, hay grass …. Has been ID’d as several things.
So far mowing, pulling , isolated gly applications and I spray it when im doing any spot spraying .

anyway im not running down the rabbit hole of fungus treatment heavily this year.

last season I had a fairly large out break, brought on from what I learned since by over feeding.
I applied a feed and insecticide fert and just laid it down per instructions not thinking about the high N in the mix. So in mid june I put down almost 1 ln of N . So basically more N than the grass could use or need

Yes. March 1st I went down with The Anderson’s 26-0-6 with dimension and the 15th(last Monday) I went down with some lesco 30-0-10
Your pics look like KBG and tall fescue? Looks like disease but the question is what's causing it. It's early for that to be based on temp and humidity. What else can you tell us about the situation? Is this a new stand? Are there any issues with the soil? What about traffic?
