I recently misplaced (threw out?) my jar of Prodiamine, and I didn't want to use my Gallery (Isoxaben) for my Fall pre-emergent app. I bit the bullet and picked up some Specticle Flo from Site One and applied it today. Going forward, I am hoping to do one Fall/Spring app (September/March) of Specticle Flo at the 7 oz/acre rate, but I am wondering when I should be applying the Isoxaben that I still have on hand. Would this work best as a once-yearly app in late April/May to head off summer broadleaf weeds? Or should I try some other schedule?

The main weeds I'm up against are poa in late winter, swinecress in spring, and nutsedge/spurge in summer.

isoxaben is a spurge master. I would do specticle in Fall (split apps are better) and in early spring (unless you get more prodiamine) Then ya do isoxaben early summer mainly for spurge. Your swinecress does get missed by this as isoxaben works but its a winter germinator so you need to put it down in fall.

To get it all I would do a combo of indaziflam/isoxaben in fall, then indaziflam spring, isoxaben summer. Assuming on Bermuda?

Yes, bermudagrass it is. As to what you were saying, I applied Isoxaben in mid-April this year for the first time, and it worked very well in certain ways, but spurge came back fairly strong by late July. I guess as you suggest, pushing the Isoxaben application back to May/June should take care of spurge germinatio that occurs as we enter summer. It looks like the max annual rate for Gallery is 1.5 oz/1k, and this year I only applied it once at .5 oz./1k.

Ya I finally dialed it in this year for myself. I do split indaziflam in fall. Prodiamine/Isoxaben/Fairenheit/ Sulfentrazone in March, Isoxaben again June/July and seems to work best for me but your mileage may vary. I was 99 percent weed free this year. Just a few sedges.

One tiny side yard I didn't do the second round Isoxaben is full of spurge so it works.

How will the Indaziflam do against spurge? I have Prodiamine and recently picked up some Indaziflam. Spurge was my only issue this season.

I have great control of nearly all my weeds using split apps of Prodiamine. I was thinking of applying Indaziflam late spring.

I'm due for my first app of Prodiamine in a few weeks.

Its labeled for spurge. The trick would be the timing for spurge. You would need to put it down late spring/summer and most people use in fall and/or early spring. I would like to see a head to head vs Isoxaben on spurge when both applied early summer
