My house sits on the high side of the street and the yard is not perfectly smooth. There are no large dips but there yard isn't siper smooth. If i get reel mower will i end digging up ground with it or will slight changes not make a difference?
It depends on your height of cut. I cut at 5/8" and I'm not scalping anywhere, and my back yard is not smooth at all. If I was mowing super-low, it may be an issue.
I have a gnarly yard still and my reelmower does just fine on it. Even dips that some would call extreme are quite doable with it whereas there's no way even a 21" rotary would be able to mow there.
