At least I think this is Zoysia. This little part of my large yard does amazing with zero effort. Its in a pretty shaded part of the yard but gets filtered sun all day. This little set of grass went 10 years with no help from anybody as my lot sat empty when the previous home burned down.

I am looking to use a grass similar to this as the Fescue in the area close to this grass has failed. My local sod farm has 5 different types of Zoysia and I was really intrigued by the Royal.

It does look pretty ragged close up. We are in a drought which isn't helping any recovery. There is no way its TTTF, it goes dormant in the winter.

I also sharpened the blades about 2 months ago. But I cut 2 acres on a zero turn. Probably should do it a bit more often
