I need help to identify the pest

Hello guys, I just to ask in a garden center but they have not clue what could to happen and maybe someone of you can help me. My neighbour garden is a desert and the death is coming through the gate… as you can see in the picture a small soil balls are appearing and sometimes is eating the grass. One week ago was full green, so is going fast.

I have digging a bit and three small worms appear in the first digging. Could anyone tell if this could be the problem? And if is possible to fix it?
