How do I get this to take over my yard?

I have common bermuda, but since rehabbing 3 years ago and cutting short, what appears to be some kind of fine blade hybrid bermuda (maybe 419?) has entered my yard from the neighbor's. I love it, it's easier to cut with my manual or gas reel mower, darker, greens up faster in the spring, and goes dormant later in the fall.
So how do I get it to take over the entire yard more quickly? I have a pro plugger, is that my best option? That's fine if it is, I'll do it next spring. I don't care how silly it may look, but I'm not sure I have enough parent grass to harvest from. But that's ok, I'll do as much as I can. Any other ideas will be appreciated.

I'd imagine you'd have to mow pretty low just to stress the common out some. From what I've heard common tends to stress around .5" or lower. That could help in addition to spoon feeding the plugs.

Doing that with plugs will take so long to overtake the common, and it'll be completely gone in some spots.

Your best to just re-sod and be done with it, so you aren't trying to force areas to compete and hopefully work
