Sorry, for what may be a newb question...

I've got horizontal growth on top of the grass (common Bermuda), if there is a proper term for the rhizome growth please correct me. My HOC is .75" with a rotary. (I sharpen the blades every week and usually cut when the lawn is about 1".) How do I correct this, as it doesn't look appealing?

Yes I'd like to cut it with a reel, but don't have one and the wife would kill me if I bought another mower. I didn't know how obsessed I'd be with the cut below 1". I finnaly bought PGR (t-nex) after @Ware posted that video. I'm hoping the PGR will help with this?

@Tellycoleman it hasn't quite thickened from winter fully. The sod was laid last year and had to of been cut from 2 different areas, more established vs less established. Because I'm struggling to get it all to fill in anyway. I still have quite a few thin spots. When would be too late in the season to verticut? I'm pushing real hard to get it to thicken early on...
