This year when my community turned on the water to our sprinklers I have a pretty big leak in the main irrigation line that runs from the street to my house. Upon looking at the pvc pipe it is all warped and crooked possibly from being in the heat since my house was built (2007). I was trying to just get through the year so I got a coupler and some pipe to try and splice it but it appears the sizes I have tried at my local big box store seem to be slightly too big or due to the age of the existing pipe maybe it has shrank over the years? I have no idea but was curious if anyone knows the typical size of the PVC pipe used in these situations? I have also attached a picture and you can of course see the curves and everything in the pvc pipe along with my horrible and now failed attempt with the coupling. The pipe in question is the one on the right. The metal pipe goes to my sprinkler system. Just trying to see what the simplest fix to get me through the year would be to splice that pipe into my valves and back flow preventer so I can get my sprinklers operational again. Thanks for any suggestions and recommendations!
