Good Morning Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and I'm having trouble identifying my grass type. I'm pretty sure it's Zoysia, jut not sure which variety. I've attached a couple pictures, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

It is a zoysia japonica. I'm guessing El Toro is the cultivar.

Based on the pics it is evident that you are mowing with a rotary. The grass tips are literally shredded instead of being cut. If cutting a zoysia lawn with a rotary, you should plan on sharpening your blades(s) at least once a month. It only takes a few minutes to do if you are handy with an angle grinder.
