Help! Applied FEature no color difference

So I applied FEature on Wednesday at a rate of 2 ounces per thousand square feet per gallon of water and I have zero color difference two days later. It was my understanding that because this is a foliar application I should see results within 12 to 24 hours any thoughts on what's going on here?

Prior to application.

You should have done a control test by putting a piece of cardboard or something covering a small part of your lawn to protect it from the Feature application. That way you could really notice whether it provided zero difference since photos might not really capture any changes.

I'll try that on the next application. But I can tell there is zero difference or at least not anything noticeable. I didn't figure it would magically turn my yard emerald green but I thought I would see more uniformity afterwards. I've sent out another soil test so maybe that will give me some insight. I will say ever since I switched over to reel mowing a couple years ago my grass color has been terrible and I've had nothing but issues. It's making me second guess myself and I'm considering going back up to 1-2" HOC. This was my grass prior to reel mowing and it looked fantastic.

I just bought a bag of Feature and am about to try it out for the first time, so I can see if it makes a difference to my lawn. I presume you have a hybrid bermuda lawn?

On a side note, I couldn't apply Feature yesterday because I realized I needed a scale for dry measurements. Would you know by chance what a teaspoon of Feature weighs?
I don't have an answer for you because I never used FEature, but I tried a whole bunch of different iron supplement products and the only one that ever worked was GCF GreeneEffect. The difference is highly noticeable after 4 days. Maybe you need to give it some more time...

Also, during my experiments with the other products, I deemed it necessary to reduce the pH of my water before adding the iron. In theory this shouldn't be necessary, but frankly the resuls with the other products were SO BAD that I felt I didn't have a choice.
@rockwalltxguy Looks like you lawn needs water or more nitrogen. Iron is an enhancer not a cure all. Do you have a link to your current soil test? I have also noticed that there is a diminishing point of return when applying Iron supplements to the lawn. I don't plan on applying any this year as my soil test indicates that I have an abundance of it from all the years of applying it religiously.

I think it's because of our high PH soil in this region/area is terrible for applying iron products. I attempted to use feature for almost 2 seasons before i decided i was just throwing my money away. Absolutely no difference after each application. I tried using citric acid to lower water pH with the feature, tried citric acid plus AMS in addition to feature, still nothing noticeable outside of the general Nitrogen green up from the AMS.

I have areas on this side that had fungus issues last year from over watering so I cut it back and now this area gets 1" of water or so a week. I have not put down a high nitrogen application yet because of fear that I may have chlorosis over here. This is a close up of the grass blades in this area.

You would be surprised what a little extra Nitrogen can do for bermuda. I'm not saying it's the right thing to always over feed Bermuda but it can cure a lot of what ails it. I would start there first and then start eliminating other causes. Nitrogen and Water should be the first 2 things you need to rule out before going down the rabbit hole of the "what if's" and then bug and insects should be next.

I put down Ortho BugBGone about a month ago. What would you recommend in the way of fast release nitrogen? Anything at the big box stores worth getting?

I would try to get a bag of Ammonium Sulfate from a local feed store or Site One. That could help a little with the pH. If you can't find AS then see if you can get Urea.

I know the Lowe's around me sells Ammonium Sulfate in 40lbs bags for like $25 but that would be the best thing right now. Ammonium Sulfate

How old is FEature that you have?
I just got it in the mail this past week. Not sure beyond that.
I agree with the others but will add....Do you have a recent soil test? You may already have adequate iron levels in your soil. Whether it is plant available or not I suppose is another question. My soil tests are showing good iron numbers so I have been holding off on my Feature app.

it's in process at TAMU hopefully will have it in a week or so.
I have acidic soil and did not get a response from Feature. Tried Greenorr SP and it works great on my lawn. Has a wider ph range availability unlike the Feature

I guess I needed a little Nitrogen. Applied Scott's Green Max 27-0-0 on Sunday and now have much more uniform color. Still not perfect but pretty decent. Will likely hit it again one more time heavy this season and then pull back in the nitrogen.
