Hello,

The Chicago area has been getting slammed with some serious heat this last week straight. My lawn is definitely feeling it... However, with the 4th tomorrow, is there any harm in putting down the Milo? Not sure what best practice would be with heatwaves... ;-)

Thanks!

There is nothing magical about the 4th and Milo. Yes it is listed in their bags/website without any reference. It is just a good marketing strategy so folks dont forget to buy it. I would recommend holding off any source of nitrogen (milo included) until the weather improves. Nitrogen will encourage grow, which needs more water, thus stressing your lawn more. I'm on cruise control for now.

@g-man great advice sir. I've been checking around for milo for awhile with no luck. This morning, 48 bags magically showed up at my local HD. Going to grab 6, although I only need 3 per app. Gonna wait to apply though, until weather improves like you suggested

Funny, I looked at two local HD near by, and both were on empty for Milo. Stopped by the Menards and they had a pallet full...
