Hello TLF friends.
Figured I'd make a new journal documenting the road to my fall 2023 reno.
My wife and I purchased this house in August of 2021, and have been slowly tranforming the neglected, overgrown yard. I did a PRG overseed in Fall of 2021 to hold me over, but I'm ready to return to an elite KBG lawn.
Decided to go with a mix of 3 cultivars: Blueberry, Bewitched, and Mazama. All seed has been ordered and is in my possession.
I have 80 lbs of seed total, enough to renovate my entire yard more than twice at 3lbs/k. Wanted to have plenty on hand in case of washout, etc.
Yard Specs:
Short term plans:
Mid term plans:
Post-glyphosate plans:
Hoping to take things a bit slower since I'm getting a head start early for this reno. Free time is harder to come by since I did my last reno between work and dad life.
Would love any suggestions for changes to my plans from those more experienced than me!
In case anyone is interested in my past work, here are a couple links to my previous threads:

Yard Specs:
- ~11,250 sqft
- Current stand is existing no-mix with Champion GQ PRG overseeded 2021
- fully irrigated yard
- mostly flat yard, will require some grading in the front, minimal in the back
- currently battling poa T
Short term plans:
- first round of poa T gly went down on 4/6 in the backyard, plan to do at least 3 apps
- normal spring practices (grub/insect control, fungicide, fertilizer, watering)
- soil test
- test pots (have one for blueberry already, currently at 4 DAS)
Mid term plans:
- figure out rough seed down date
- figure out when to kill yard (thinking mid July for mid/late August seed down date)
Post-glyphosate plans:
- scalp/dethatch
- bring in sand/soil mix and level
- seed 3lbs/k, tenacity, starter, top dress with peat moss, roll, beer
