Anyone know why this might be happening? This is my backyard which is on the north side of the yard. The further to the left gets more sun so I would think it would green up faster. I'm mowing at the same height but maybe it's because my backyard is uneven and I'm getting a lower cut on the left side?
Maybe I just need to patient and let it green up completely?

Plenty. We had two inches of rain last week.
As in 7 days ago?

I'm guessing it might be due to the foundation being warmer than the rest of the yard, causing the soil temps to be warmer. Happened around my driveway and my structures this year.
That might be it. The closer it gets to the house the more shade it gets so maybe thats why it is greening up in the middle. I'll give it some time and see what happens.
