I've been browsing around different turf management websites and found this gem. Its really explains the basics of turfgrass management and beyond.

http://grounds-mag.com/turf/digest/

If I could do it all over again I think I would like to manage turfgrass or have a sod farm (Maybe when I hit the lottery I can buy some land and just grow turfgrass). Cheers and happy reading! ;)

Great link! Good stuff indeed.

I laughed when my brother was going to do turf management. He never did but it was a goal for college.

Here I am, a chemist and loving turf, I even live in Georgia, very very close to the turf science universities that breed the staff we nerd out on. I just wish I could walk from my job and head back to school, and work for an exclusive golf club so I can get playing perks and piss and moan about missing a putt due to my own greenskeeping!

I too have thought the same thing before and wish I had started on a Turf Management Degree while I was in the Army but then I also think about if I had to do this as a job I may not enjoy it as much either. I also now that golf course superintendents work some pretty long hours too depending on what course you are at.
