I finished seeding the lawn ast autumn and overseeded the older parts, that had grass, but I wanted it to blend nore with the newest seeded parts. Now the lawn is patchy. It has what appears to be grassy weeds. I don't like it. Does anyone have any advice, or something that would help me fix this?

It's hard to tell from the pic, but looks like there could be clasping auricles. Quck or annual rye. What kind of seed did you use? Check for yourself for the auricles.

The seed was suppose to be perennial ryegrass, 4 varieties. The pattern of spread does look like it came from seed, and not from birds carrying the seed in. I did seed and overseed in intervals.

It does not appear to have clasping oracles.

If is it annual rye, 1) keep mowing to avoid the seedheads from developing too much and 2)make sure you have a prem barrier. Other than hand pulling, the best will be to wait until the summer heat takes care of it.
