I finished seeding the lawn ast autumn and overseeded the older parts, that had grass, but I wanted it to blend nore with the newest seeded parts. Now the lawn is patchy. It has what appears to be grassy weeds. I don't like it. Does anyone have any advice, or something that would help me fix this?

It does look like annual ryegrass. This website has some of images of the key identifying features. http://purdueturftips.blogspot.com/2013/04/annual-ryegrass-showing-up-in-lawns.html

If is it annual rye, 1) keep mowing to avoid the seedheads from developing too much and 2)make sure you have a prem barrier. Other than hand pulling, the best will be to wait until the summer heat takes care of it.
