I've been doing a bit of spring reseeding. So far things are growing in alright, but obviously it takes time for the grass to fill in and get full in the bare space.

My question is should you add seed to the spots as time goes on? I've put down a mix of KBG/PRG/Fescue and some has germinated and is growing. Though the space still looks rough and bare...

Is there a good number for the amount of time it takes for grass of this kind to fill out and be full? Does it take a month, 6 months, a year? Trying to get a gauge.

I read things if you are reseeding an entire lawn, apply 4lbs. per 1000 sq ft. for example. How long if you were to do something like that would it take for your lawn to fill in and look full?

Thanks!

I did an approximately 3' by 30' ft strip in September of a similar mix of seed and it was pretty full by December. Now it looks just about the same as the rest of my lawn. I would say 6 months is a good estimate.
