I have been using United Seeds the last couple of seasons. Placing an order this week for more of their SuperTurf II blend.

I assume you’re happy with it since you’re reordering, but isn’t the point of this mix to not have to overseed?

I have been doing full renos on limited areas on my lawn, slowly. I have only bought 10# each the last two seasons and 25# this year. It recovers nicely on its own, even where I completely ripped it up a section with a dethatcher last year. I did throw a small amount of seed on that last year, miniscule amounts. I had some small die off near my driveway this year on last seasons reno, it might need a small amount of seed. I am not overseeding the whole ST2 areas, just any small, afflicted sections, some being my own doing. I have overseeded the rest of the lawn, which is mainly K-31, to use up the extra seed I didn't need for the renos.

Right on. I have an area that’s fairly shaded in the summer. Trees suck up water too. Though I do irrigate, the grass always thins out.

Thinking Snap Back RR or the ST2.
