I'm growing a new spot and noticed this new fella popping up. I'm not sure if it is a weed or new germination of one grass types in the mix I used.

Can anyone confirm for me? Appreciate it.

Okay. Unless it is perennial ryegrass than I'm guessing it is a weed and pull them...

Another vote for crabgrass.

If the new grass is at least about a week old (fescue) or 28 days old (KBG), you can zap it with quinclorac minus surfactant.
