I'm new to this forum website because I wanted some advise from experts here. I wanted to know if anyone knows what kind of grass this is? My university tends to have this green all year long including the mild/moderate winter and hot (100F +) summer. It is cut at about 1.5 to 2 inches high.

Yes it's irrigated mornings every other day with in-ground sprinkler heads.

@Spammage our resident Zoysia expert can probably confirm, but I'm inclined to think it's Zoysia. Not sure of the cultivar. Looks really similar to the grass that I was sitting on in the park last week.

I guess it could be a very overgrown zoysia matrella, but the appearance says fescue to me.
