What are some of the best granular pre-emergents available online (or potentially in store)? I'm likely looking to buy one online as I haven't found many options in my area. I do plan on stopping into SiteOne later today.

Has anyone heard of Nitro-Phos? Its Barricade @ 0.58% and it covers 5000 sq ft at only $26 with free shipping on eBay or Walmart.com

Definitely...I see that now. I went to Site One today, they have a 50 lb bag of 13-0-0 prodiamine for exactly the same price. I might as well go this route. Question - this bag covers 12000 sq ft and I have a 4000 sq ft lawn. Will it last until next spring one opened? Don't plan on using a Pre M in fall as I'd like to aerate and overseed again.

I haven't compared costs, but big boxes may be an option.

I was out looking for granular pre-m yesterday since my sprayer broke recently. I noticed that Lowe's has prodiamine in their Sta-Green Crab-Ex and doesn't have any fertilizer. They also have a Crab-Ex Plus that does have fertilizer of you want to go that route. If you're looking for Dimension, Home Depot has Lesco 19-0-7 with Dimension in a 50lb bag.
I ended up going with the Lesco since it was more cost effective even though I'll have to do two apps.

NY can be tricky...you'll be at the whim of the laws, and what the suppliers are legally able to sell you in your specific county.

Have any of you used a product called pendulum in granular or liquid form? I have access to both but can't find anything definitive online about its use in turf grass, I have only found instructions about use in beds and bare ground

Active ingredient is Pendimethalin - the same stuff they use in the Scotts Halts that you see at the box stores.

So then I should be able to use it at the same rate as Scott's halts correct? As long as the active ingredient is the same percent as Scott's

Doesn't Pendimethalin have a shorter life than dithiopyr and prodiamine? If so, you may want to figure the cost of the product assuming the number of reapplications you'll need to make.
I thought I remember reading someone writing a review of the Scott's halts product, but I couldn't find it.

^^^ Not sure about Pendimethalin, but any product will have an active ingredient % wise that will dictate how much mileage you get out of it. The combination fertilizer/pre-m Home Depot sells (with dimension for example) will be less concentrated then what Site One sells. I use the Lesco brand 0-0-7 with .21% dimension. One 50# $25 bag for my @3ksf lawn has lasted me a few years.
