Do you consider this a good recovery in this high heat we are seeing in NY and NJ ? Temps have been in the mid to upper 90's.

Scalped at 2 inches. Usually cut at 3 inches.



Five days later, July 2nd.



Both pictures taken when I got home from work around 7:30pm.

IMO, yes.

I saw the same thing when I decided to mow reel short (1.5") around my kids playset last year. It was def brown when I first did it, then as days/weeks go by it was as green as the surrounding grass that was cut at 3"+.

@ericgautier Thanks for the feedback. I have never had a widespread scalping of a lawn. This was done in error by the lawn care company.

It has been very hot over the past several days and I do not use fungicides. A little worried the stress to the lawn from the hot weather and scalping may trigger a fungus outbreak like brown patch or pythium. Also trying to decide if the Holganix Lawn (first time user this year) is helping with the speed and quality of recovery.
