I would start with Image Southern Lawn Weed Killer, ~4oz per gallon, spot sprayed with a surfactant (unless temperature is above 85) and marking dye to be sure I hit everything I wanted to.

 

I have had decent luck with atrazine. I would only apply once per year and do not apply near water to be safe. It seems to be much less damaging than others on st aug. than blindside or other herbicides at low temp for me.

I had good results killing Virginia buttonweed with Blindside. It stressed my St Aug significantly but I was probably spraying when it was too hot.

With Atrazine, I know big box brands are a no no around here but should I try an application of Scotts Bonus S?

 

@dasocie : I'm not sure if there's an Ace Hardware near you, but in my search for herbicides lately I found a Sunniland brand of liquid atrazine you could try spraying for a lot less money than the bag of Scotts: https://www.acehardware.com/departments/lawn-and-garden/lawn-care/weed-and-vegetation-killers/7282601

I have not tried this specific product as of yet, but just wanted to throw that out there.

 

@thundergunexpress @dasocie I'm planning to try the Hi-Yield brand that I picked up from Ace for $10 (32 ounces) this weekend if it looks like I'm going to get 3 days of no rain afterwards. I have some dollarweed still growing, so should be able to give some feedback afterwards. I'm keeping this stuff away from the crepe myrtles and bushes though.

Celsius does just fine for my buttonweed. It's a slow kill. Two apps a couple weeks apart always did the trick. I don't have any MSM...
