bought the heritage G.. weighed out 3lbs of material. ofcourse the literature doesn't have my particular spready ( Scotts edge guard mini), so I google it. Found a forum where guy contacted the manufacturer. Said 5.5 setting. That went quick. No way that was 1k sqft. Dropped it to 3. I have no idea how much I put down. Feels bad. I much prefer liquid. I hope i didnt do any harm. Poor good microbes.

Dude
Rewrite this post. I am so confused. Who.?.?? What???

Only you will know about fertilizer burn. Did you put out to much? Was it clumped when you put down fertilizer.
Scalp recovery = when did you scalp ( doesn't look like it but you know when you mow the lawn)
Heat or drought stress = how much did you water and when did it last rain.
How much lawn do you have.
Do you use a rotary mower?
Grass looks torn instead of cut

Long story short on that post. I over applied the Heritage G, because I misunderstood the label regarding rates on certain spreaders. No damage was done to my turf despite that miscalculation. I've since figured out the correct rate for my spreader. THe fungus issue has subsided, but my front lawn will ultimately require a renovation. I'll just enjoy it for what it is until I am able to start that process.

Keep in mind you can now buy Azoxystrobin (Heritage G) under the Scotts label from places like Amazon or Home Depot. It is cheaper than Heritage G - the bag sizes are different, but both are 0.31% Azoxystrobin.
Yes I saw that. Granted, I got my 30lb bag of Heritage locally for 65 dollars. I will most likely invest in another type of fungicide to prevent resistance.

Tellycom, I didn't have fertilizer burn. I think it was a fungus issue combined with some heat/drought stress. I was cutting very low trying to make the common bermuda take over. Basically, I found out I don't like common bermuda. I have now raised my HOC and I will just let the SA and bermuda fight it out. And yes, I need to change the blades on my toro. IT is sitting in the garage waiting to be switched out.
