I'm pretty sure I have a fungus issue going on, hence why I just seem to not be happy with the condition of my yard. Cutting it shorter I think had also attributed to some issues as well.

This morning I noticed lots of webbing in my backyard, especially in areas where the grass has seemed to decline and become thinner than it already was.

I think I have bipolaris and possibly areas that I'm getting rotting at the root/soil surface. But then I just don't know if it's wide spread dollar spot.

More info: it's what I'm sure is 419 bermuda with (probably) a common variety mixed in. Establish lawn of 13 years, rocky awful clay soil, nasty erosion but runs off well. I've been fertilizing lightly every 2-3 weeks. It's looked okay, worse after I took the height down to 1 inch, by looks better after the scalp. Now this!!

Any help? Mode of fixing this before it goes dormant?

Thanks!!

What kind of fertilizer have you been giving it every 2-3 weeks? How long have you been "caring" for the lawn?

I had a service who would spray and pray..

I have now been using 34-0-0 every 4 weeks. In the last 2 months I've swapped to slightly less than bag rate milorganite. I did half rate with some 13-13-13 the other week. Have noticed the decline in the last 2 months with heavy rain roughly. It looks good for a while but suspected issues.

I've been here 4 years almost. Yard was all crabgrass, goosegrass and clover and sedge when I bought this property. Green year 'round!

It has shade issues, and erosion and packed soil issues, but I've fought back a bunch to get it looking well. Now im shorter in cut, and thicker but fighting an issue.

I have eagle 20 on hand, would that work?

I have noticed with this weather and temps my hydrangeas, crepe mrytles and even some of my azaleas have had black spots and spores on them here in the back yard.

I'm no fungus expert but if you have some fungicide on hand already I don't see the harm in putting it down to help alleviate any issues you may have. Between the shade issue you say you have and the fact that you just scalped it down may contribute to some of the issues. How much sun does this area actually get through out the day?

It's easily in the sun in 85 percent of the backyard from 11am to 7-8pm. Occasionally filtered.

I'll mix up some Eagle 20 and broadcast and see what I can do. Wish I could hose end spray!
