Every year I get hit with a fungus issue (I believe to be dollar spot) due to the humid summer months- is there any type of preventative I can apply to stop this issue before it starts? Also- any insecticide treatment recommendations as we move into the warmer months? The best I know is Grubex but wondering if there is a better option as it doesn't seem to be readily available in my area.

I think these are the 2 affordable fungicides.

Active ingredient: Myclobutanil
Example Name Brand: Eagle 20EW Specialty Fungicide

Active ingredient: Propiconazole
Example Name Brand: Honor Guard PPZ Fungicide

From what I remember when researching, use Propiconazole in the fall as it may slightly delay the green-up of bermudagrass if applied in the spring.

I had a fungus issue in my lawn last fall and my Indian Hawthornes were looking bad from what turned out to be a fungus.

I would caution against spraying fungicide above 85°, especially Eagle, as I've had it scald when applied at 88°. If you are having warm temps, spray after the sun starts to go down and water in the early morning to get it off the blades.

My understanding is the label recommends not spraying above 80 degrees at the time of the application, but that you can apply early or late even if temps will warm during the day. So like you said apply in the evening.
