https://www.scotts.com/en-us/products/insect-grub-disease-control/scotts-diseaseextm-lawn-fungicide

Is this not the same active ingredient?

Heritage is 86.50 per 30 lbs and scotts is 16 per 10 lbs. Am I missing something, should I just buy the scott's?

Also, until this year I've never put fungicide down and never really thought about it as a preventative until I watched the new LCN video.

The bag of Heritage as a preventative will cover 15,000 SF and the bag of Scotts will cover 5,000 SF as a preventative. Same active ingredient it appears in both bags .31% of Azoxystrobin. I've never used the Scotts personally and I prefer using the more "commercial" types of fungicides when I've had a problem. I just know from experience that they have quickly resolved issues. I try to stay away from Scotts since most of the stuff I see at the big box stores are weed and feed type granular and feel it's a waste to throw product in areas it's not needed. I would rather treat with a liquid the LCN recommends and ONLY if I started having a problem. That way you can target a specific area or areas and not throw chemicals where they aren't needed. Remember, mowing tall and keeping a healthy lawn fertilized and well but not over watered will probably prevent a lot of problems in your lawn itself. If you have never used it so far, it sounds like you are healthy already and good to go, don't waste your money Hope this helps!

I would not recommend mowing that Riviera Bermudagrass tall. ;)

Both products have the same AI and concentration, so I would probably go with the Scotts if/when you need it. It looks like it is $18.97/bag here where I live. I paid $71.31 for my last bag of Heritage G locally - but the Scotts product is still way cheaper (which is surprising).

I probably wouldn't apply it unless you are targeting something specific or local conditions are favorable for the development of something you don't want.

Good to know - so probably safe to say something will come along that is even cheaper than the Scotts.

I definitely mow it tall compared to some of the warm season lawns on here, about 1.25 inches. I would go lower but a major leveling project is needed first.
I was also surprised that the Scott's product was so much lower and that's why I asked. Is the Heritage product the "brand name" version of that fungicide?

I was just ribbing our cool season brethren - sometimes they drift into the warm season subforum and forget that most warm season grass shouldn't be mowed tall.

And yeah, Heritage G is a Syngenta product. I have not seen a generic - probably due to the aforementioned patent.

There's a product out called Zoxy 2 sc(iirc) that is a Heritage generic.
