I realized today how junky the cheap HD and Lowe's spreaders are! Since I want to keep up with my lawn I'm going to need something good, or something that's inaccurate and back breaking to push. I will need to stay on a budget though. So what's the best spreader someone could get for $100 or less. I'd be open to used ones also.

$100 doesn't really get you out of the "Scotts" zone, unfortunately. A cheap Earthway might be under $150, but otherwise you're gonna need to spend at least $200 if not much more depending on what you want. Used is up to how lucky you are searching for deals within your local market.

The new Scotts Elite hits your budget number, and looks less crappy than the cheaper Scotts units...

But I would probably spend a little more for something like the Earthway 2050P with pneumatic tires...

The Chapin 82080 looks nice. It has some nice features like 12" pneumatic tires and an adjustable side deflector.

Check Craiglist or Facebook market too. A Spyker or lesco pop up every once in a while.

I just got a Spyker and so far am a huge fan.

They have a 50# model for $179 which I understand is nearly double your budget, but it is a quality spreader.
