Feedback on moss issues

So I have a few spots on the north side of my house (front faces west, and hasn't not had much son and did not recover very well from when I verticut. I know there are chemicals out there that can kill it, but couldn't find any at home Depot or Lowe's, so I need to look elsewhere.
1) Any kind you recommend?
2) Can this part of my lawn recover at all this year
3) If it can recover, how do I make this happen? From what I read I need to put the chemical down and a couple days rake it hard to loosen it up.
4) if it doesn't recover, what are my options?

Thanks for any feedback

It's probably a result of holding water. You'll likely have to mitigate that or it will always be a problem.
The grass factor talked briefly about moss in his last video.

If you want to smoke it chemically, I *think* quicksilver (carfentrazone) is the go to product.
Like ware said, moss develop when the soil remains moist. I would check how is the grading of your lawn in that section. Normally you want the soil to slope away from your foundation.

Then you could treat the moss with Dawn (dish detergent).
Yes sir, it faces North.
Also, my lawn slopes down from the foundation of the house.

Is there a mixing formula or measurement's for this?
@Suaverc118 if it's any consolation, I get moss on the North side of my house as well. I'm hoping by the removal of all those branches that shaded that side of the house along the fenceline will get more sunlight, otherwise I'll either be putting in a mulch bed, or walkway along that side later down the road. I was able to grow a lot of Poa in that area though :D
Nothing super scientific about this. I think I used a hose end sprayer set to 4oz rate.
@Suaverc118 Did you put Milo down recently? I have the same exact moss formation next to my fence which gets full sun throughout the day and it's on a steep slope. I went a little heavy with the Milo in that area so I was thinking that maybe it had something to do with it.
@Killbuzz, not in the last few months. I THINK it happened after I verticut late last year and most of my lawn recovered. It being in the corner where there is my home and a fence could contribute to the problem of too much water and not enough sunlight. My wife and I also spoke about maybe doing rocks in that area of it doesn't recover this year.
